Pillow Talk (1959)
This piece was was prominently featured, along with many other works by EOK, in the the film Pillow Talk (1959) starring Doris Day, Rock Hudson and Tony Randal. It can be seen throughout the movie hanging sideways in the apartment of Brad Allen played by Rock Hudson.
It is first displayed in the famous party line scene at the beginning of the film as can be seen in the clip below. The other paintings behind Hudson are also by EOK including #118 “Women in Hammock”.
For Love Or Money (1963)
Female Polynesian can also be found in the film For Love Or Money (1963) staring Kirk Douglas, Mitzi Gaynor and Gig Young. Many of EOK’s works, including this one, can be found throughout the movie hanging in the apartment of Deke Gentry, played by Kirk Douglas.
In the following clips from the romantic comedy, the painting is seen in the mirror while Kirk Douglas’ character dresses. Most of the other paintings hanging in the apartment are also by EOK and can been seen throughout the film.
